Maroon FM x UP Fair 2017

Aside from being the best grounds to develop and train the most brilliant academic minds of the country, UP is also the best place to nurture a heart that is all in for the Philippine music scene. Last February 14-18, 2017 the university witnessed the best gathering of the biggest OPM names, most promising young artists and the best fans in the world. This is one of the most iconic and most anticipated gig every year. This is the UP Fair!
Maroon FM in partnership with the University Student Council, UP Music Circle, UP Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, UP Junior Marketing Association, and UP Economics Society made sure that no one missed a thing from the UP Fair. Since this year’s fair had sold out days after sold out days, Maroon FM live broadcasted the event thru upfm.org to keep the #TeamBahay still on the loop. Our Maroon Jocks, led by Percy Tolentino, kept us company from the first act to the last. Production Manager Danine Cruz and Junior Station Manager Jean Liwag also made sure that the artists know how much we support their music by introducing them to our #SulongOPM project: Constants. Artists like Johnoy Danao, The Ransom Collective, and Sud signed some of our Constants! Most of the artists greeted our listeners as well! The best photographers of Maroon FM from A-Team; JP Sanchez, Kaye Aliwate, Brix Espejo, and Inna Carlos were also deployed to document the said event. And since this organization is home to the most sought after hosts in the university, Maroon Jocks Percy Tolentino and Yani Arguelles hosted one of the UP Fair nights and made sure that everyone is enjoying the vibe.
Maroon FM’s support for this year’s UP fair is extensive, crazy, and worth it. Starting from helping promote the event as early as January, through our Constants, Unsigned and Playlists, to the actual UP Fair week, to the hangover after the best week ever, Maroon FM made sure that we are all in for the Philippine music scene. Definitely, our hearts are full.
