Should YOU-Tube?

You tubers are really getting lots of hype nowadays. Actually, they started getting popular around 2014. And as much as we want to do the things they do, academics and studying is hard and draining enough. And to keep sane, people cope by tweeting or sharing those lucky Facebook posts. But, you know creating videos to upload and share to the world isn’t actually as tough as it seems. Sure it is quite the work load to have to balance it with academics, but believe me it's nothing like that.

Vlogging is like giving someone a peek into your life. Most people want to see things that they don't get the opportunity to do or they want to see how a ordinary day can be made extraordinary. Vloggers and their vlogs inspire people to do something crazy and out of the ordinary with their life. Creating Youtube videos is pretty much documenting your life and adding some fun editing to it! Plus, talking to a camera makes you feel like you're not alone.

I started my channel because I was at a horrible place in my life where I lost all my self esteem and confidence after being bullied in high school. I found a YouTuber who told her story of how she was bullied for how she looked and what she wore. She was torn to pieces by the judgement and criticisms of others, but she didn't let that stop her from uploading videos. Now, she's created her brand and she has so many subscribers that she inspires through each of her videos. I wanted that. I wanted to be able to inspire people to be confident in their own skin! So I stopped moping around and started my own channel.

It was hard to start because I was just getting to know how to work the camera and how to use and editing software. Having to have ideas for videos was also a struggle because I wanted so badly to be different from everyone else. Oh, the number of times I wanted to stop making videos because it felt pointless! But there was something about it that made me keep going. They say, if you love doing something it shouldn't be a burden or a hassle to do. Yes, there are days when I feel like tearing out my hair because nothing seems to go right with my videos and filming or when I have no inspiration and I feel like I have nothing to offer the world. Oh the drama. However, at the end of the day I wouldn't give it up because it makes me happy!

Youtube is easy. You just have to let it go and be yourself! You don’t have to do crazy things everyday or know how to bottle flip. You just have to be genuine, have fun and be You(Tube).
